Great selection of wines, fresh authentic pizzas, and elevated fare. Cozy atmosphere with slightly dim, intimate lighting that made you feel like you're in a resto in Rome. The staff member working on welcome and seating was a little put off we were one person over, and it showed.
I really enjoyed the pizza here. Very tasty food and nice fresh ingredients. The server did a great job looking after us, but I felt the place was a bit over capacity, or under staffed, so maybe better to visit midweek rather than a weekend.
Best neighborhood dining experience! We finally tried out the Vespa wine bar on Saturday night - and our expectations were exceeded. The service was fantastic, the appetizers were freshly prepared and the pizzas were delicious. We had a lot of fun and the owner was very gracious- even providing us with some spicy chili oil for the pizzas. The Sorprano and the Quattro funghi pizzas were delicious. The salsicha calabrese appetizer is also recommended. We’ll be back with our family.
I had Satriale pizza, very yummy! The Long Island and limoncello drop martini made by Meg was amazing and the service presented by Ara was super nice! I enjoyed my time I chatted with them both and I loved the warm and cozy atmosphere. Would go again very soon
Chose this place randomly for reuniting. Tried the Meg's recommendation item on their menu, the red wine called Frescobaldi Tenuta - Blend Tuscany. It was as dry as I wanted and the taste was really desired. The ambience was awesome, enjoyed my beloved Italian music and the environment. A very nice, clean, classy and cozy place. However I wasn't in a classy style that night ! Will definitely come again if I visit Ottawa in the future. Grazie
First time here and the vibe is awesome...quaint and relaxing ambiance. Service was good. Food was delicious!! We ordered the Vespa pizza, the arrabiata pasta, two glasses of 8oz red wine, tiramisu, and an espresso. Bill came to 104. The food was remarkable, can't say which was our favourite but the tiramisu is a must try! Check it out and support local - a great spot to check out. There's parking at immaculata since street parking can be tough to find in the area.
Our first time at Vespa Wine Bar and it certainly won't be the last- the atmosphere is inviting and very comfortable. The service and our pizzas were exceptional and the wine selectiong is outstanding! We will be back soon!!
Was in the neighborhood and noticed Vespa. The quaint setting with the open restaurant front garage door to the street drew us in. We were not disappointed. Jackie was quick to greet us upon arrival and seat us. We enjoyed a house made pizza which was delicious and perfectly cooked, and also sampled the tapenade appetizer. Both were amazing. The food was accompanied by a nice bottle of California Cab. The atmosphere makes it an ideal date night location, or for a gathering of friends. Highly recommend. Only comment for ownership is that there are no red wines below 49 unlike white and bubbles with 30ish offerings. Adding a 30/40 red would make sense.
